About Points

Points are used to unlock feature locks (described below).

You can earn daily points each time you launch the app. After collecting them, you must wait 24 hours before you can receive daily points again. Points have a maximum cap (as of May 14, 2025, the cap is 5,000 points).

Currently (as of May 14, 2025), points cannot be transferred when changing devices or reinstalling the app. We plan to support this in future updates, so please bear with us. (Note: Subscription (Pro version) purchase information is transferable across devices. See the “Device Change” section below.)

We also plan to introduce bonus features and screen customization options using points in future updates.

Feature Locks

Some features in the app are locked, indicated by a lock icon.

Unlocking Features

You can unlock locked features in either of the following ways:

  • Use points
    Spend the specified number of points to unlock the feature for 24 hours.
  • Purchase the Pro version
    All features remain unlocked during the subscription period.

After 24 hours, the feature will be locked again the next time you launch the app. However, any settings or values configured while the feature was unlocked will be saved and restored the next time you unlock it.
Example: If you unlock the feature and set a custom insertion length for threaded joints, this will be temporarily replaced by the default value (as defined in JIS) after 24 hours. When you unlock the feature again, your custom value will be restored.

About the Pro Version

The Pro version is a subscription service. You can choose between a 1-month or 1-year plan (both automatically renew). The 1-year plan offers better value.

In Haikan Pipit, all advanced features (except for a few obvious ones like the always-on display) can be tested by temporarily unlocking them. We encourage you to try them out first—if you’re satisfied, we hope you’ll consider subscribing to the Pro version.

Feature Descriptions

  • Fitting End Button
    • This feature lets you connect the end of a fitting with a single tap on the measurement screen.
      It’s especially useful when measuring fittings like sockets that don’t change the direction of the pipe.
  • Insertion Length Setting (Threaded Fittings)
    • This feature allows you to set the insertion length (how far the pipe is screwed into the fitting) when using threaded joints.
  • Nipple Connection (Threaded Fittings)
    • This feature allows you to connect nipples (hex nipples, barrel nipples, long nipples) to threaded joints.
      Instead of calculating cut lengths, it calculates the total length between specified points after connecting the nipples.
  • Always-On Display
    • This feature is not available via temporary unlock and is exclusive to the Pro version.
      When enabled, the screen stays on regardless of your smartphone’s settings—it won’t turn off or go to sleep automatically.
      This helps prevent frustration during measurement when the screen turns off while using a tape measure.
      Note: This feature applies only to the measurement screen. Other screens (like the catalog) may still follow the auto-lock setting.
      Since the screen won’t lock automatically, please be careful not to leave your device unattended while using this feature.

Device Change

Your Pro version purchase can be transferred even if you change devices.
On your new device, open the app and go to the “Points & Pro Version” menu. Then tap the Restore Purchase button at the bottom of the screen.

Changing Subscription Period or Cancelling a Subscription

Procedures for changing the subscription period or canceling a subscription follow the rules of the respective app stores:

  • iPhone/iPad: App Store
  • Android: Google Play

Changing Subscription Period

  • For iPhone/iPad:
    • You cannot directly change the duration of an active plan. However, you can purchase a different plan (1-month or 1-year) in addition to the current one. The new plan will automatically begin after the current plan expires. Note: The new plan may not immediately appear as “purchased” on screen, but you can confirm your purchase by tapping the purchase button again.
  • For Android:
    • You can change the subscription period by simply purchasing a new plan with the desired duration.

Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel from the respective account management screen.
Please note that it may take some time for the cancellation status to be reflected in the app.

  • iPhone/iPad: Through your Apple Account settings
  • Android: Through the Google Play Account settings
